It hasnt been good for a few years. Once I discover reddit, newschoolers got even more boring because half the NSG threads are reposts from there

i wouldn't mind if NSG were deleted. i could care less about what some 15 year old kids opinion is on who the president should be, or what drug some 19 year old kid shoved up his ass last weekend. which is what 90% of this forum is now, the other 10% are reddit reposts.

i think there should just be some sort of chatroom instead where people can bullshit and talk about non ski stuff and whatever they want.

hell it can even give another page with ad revenue with like half the amount of moderation needed as NSG. shit maybe even every time there is a new chat message you could count that as an impression and boost analytics stats.

nsg is ruined by guys like elgato who delete threads simply because they don't like them. nsg is going to fail because you guys don't have the foresight to realized this. el gato WILL ruin nsg.

NSG is a good place to get advice (or try to) from people who are similar to you, and may have the same experiences as you. It's a way of communicating with the community when you have things besides skiing on your mind. That being said, it's not a very serious place overall.

What's NSG? A way to escape from reality for a moment while still staying oddly connected to the community. It has everything that is needed outside of skiing. Fun, games, making fun of others(on a light note), Keeping up with interests outside of skiing(some days in summer are fairly slow, but for the most part it remains fairly active). In short NSG is a place where we can all connect in ways that aren't just specific to skiing. Some days it's like schrodinger's cat.

I mean it used to be a bit better constructed back in 10-11, in regards to posted content/replies, but that may just be me reminiscing when I was in highschool on here. It just continues to escalate each year.



Its where Ive kept my sanity after not skiing for 2.5 years now, but still checking this damn site everyday

I still enjoy it. I think we have to remember how much bigger this site has gotten over time. I mean even just from 07 when I started, it has grown a lot, and this brings in more trouble and random crap posted from people who could care less about trolling vs community

Id vote no on directional change. Its functioning exactly as it has been. A sandbox away from skiing for skiers to play in
