If, NSG was off of this website I wouldnt come here anymore, I grew out of the skiing aspects and stopped caring about them entirely a couple years ago. I still love going skiing and watching videos of people pow skiing but venturing into the shredding parts of this site always leaves me disappointed. Maybe its time for me to leave...

Pretty much sums up my NS experience these days.

I still love skiing, but NS and the freeskiing "culture" in general are a fucking joke. NSG is entertaining for a while, but it just gravitates toward the same shit every day. It's still somewhat of a fun time waster to talk shit, but there are just too many retards to keep up with now. I can't imagine I'll still be visiting this site in the next year or so.

Yeah honestly they have a bit of a bleak outlook on this. I haven't been around here as long as many but I've been a member for awhile and as I remember there were always complaints about member maturity.

I think in part it's actually what makes this place a lot of fun, even though I can see where it goes overboard. It kind of comes with the territory of skiing. Most skiers I've met are having a blast on the mountain, so what if we're a goofy bunch?

Also I've grown a hell of a lot since I signed up here. I couldn't even believe it's been that long when I checked. I was a young teen at the time, of course things feel different today. This place is the reason I bought twins in the first place, I may post less but I'm never leavin hahaha

I realize I'm late to the party but NSG to me is how I get through to off season. I have nothing to do so i read people dumb stories, claims, etc and try to respond in a funny way. And its a great place to be a karma whore.

Sorry to hear your getting a harsh vibe man, or maybe the community at your mountain sucks who knows.

I'm over thirty and hold a part time park crew job at my local hill for a small fraction of what I make at my regular 40 hour a week job. I hardly even hit features other than jumps and easy rails, but I still have fun at it. Our hill is about 50/50 boarders and skiers and everyone gets along and has a blast. I honestly really enjoy working there and it is a huge stress reliever. Just seeing how the younger kids get stoked on a new feature or the setup that day or that new trick they got really adds some quality smiles and lols into my life.

I hear you're kind of park rat stereotyping on a daily basis from older folks and patrol and such. I expect it there, never thought I'd see it here though. To each their own and you're welcome to have you're own opinion. I just don't agree.


NSG to me is a fun time to kick back and browse a collection of just fun shit. Also I feel sometimes like we have here a small army of plugged in kids that follow the current events of the world and the internet much more closely than any one person could ever possibly pay attention to. So I pop in here to find random shit that interests me I guess is what I'm saying.

Oh yes, and epic photoshop threads.

Thank you Mr. Bishop and NS as a whole for almost ten years of solid entertainment. From ski edits to wu tang threads and political flame wars, I enjoy it all.

Agree with everyone else on this page. Without NSG I wouldn't visit the site very much. Ski gabber really blows, and gear talk was where I spent most of my time when I first started out because I needed help getting gear together. But now it's probably 70% NSG at least.
