Skis for good skiers

What would the consiquences be if you used a pair of skis that were for advanced riders if you have not skied in years and had not had many days on snow when you did ski?

chances are the skis will be pretty stiff, and not very forgiving for a beginner level skier.

It doesn't matter if you can't tell. I've been skiing for a long time and I still don't know the difference between skis except those differences like, 'OOOH THOSE ARE PRETTY!' and 'WOW THOSE ARE SHORT!' Ride whatever you can.
