On Monday, my band Sharing Stereo released our first official music video for the song "Right Now" which was released on our debut EP in December. I provided most of the direction for the video as I really knew what we wanted for this video, but everyone contributed to the concept. I did most of the cinematography and all of the editing (cinematography credit also goes to my friend as well). I'm looking for anyone to offer a critique of the video and their opinion of the song, but I also really want to spread my band's music by any means that I can.
If you guys want to help out a fellow NSer in a big way, it would be awesome if you could share this video on your social media accounts and encourage everyone who watches it to pass it on as well. We know at least a few people dig our music, so there's probably one or two people in your circles that will dig it as well. It would really mean the world to me if NS's contest sway powers could help get this video and song out to new eyes and ears. YouTube killed the quality of the video, but it's better suited for sharing music than Vimeo.
Fun fact: Our band name comes from sharing a pair of earbuds with a friend to listen to music. You split the left and right speakers and each person gets one earbud. It's always cumbersome and reduces the sound quality, but you do it anyway because you want to share the music -- because that's what music is all about. Whether you're listening to music while hanging out with your friends or swimming in a crowd of thousands of strangers at a sold out concert, you're sharing music. Our goal has always been to make music and share it with as many people as possible.
