ski.loonAs a ski coach, 4 point landings are how you are suppose to coach jumping when kids are first learning... mostly to practice correct popping and air control. Once you get advanced enough its not really necessary.. maybe dropping cliffs but if you think about it, it is really the same as landing with your hands out in front just to maintain balance.
Maybe your just use to landing with your hands at your side, and doing a four point landing will keep your balance more in line.

geosomI may be wrong. But doesn't Tanner have a mogul skiing background? I'm pretty sure that's exactly how they land when they do the jumps halfway down the course. Possibly setting themselves up for whatever is coming next? the next set of moguls. Or in this case, another cliff?
