K2 Recoil, Filthy Riches, Chronics?

I would like at least some input on why you like these skis?? I here they are amazing but i also here they aren’t that durable. I want the ski to last 2 almost three seasons.

I have skied the Chronics and Recoils. Not familiar with the Filthy Riches. If you want a park focus, go with the Chronics. If you want something that will charge hard on groomers and like doing aggressive fast short radius turns, go with the Recoil. I was in Minnesota when I demod them so I wasn't able to try them in trees. The Chronics are light, soft, playful, lots of fun, yet still hold an edge fine at speed. No hesitation to go all out on the groomers. Probably a bit more versatile than the Recoils and definitely more parky. When I first tried the Recoils I didn't like them, but by the second run or so I realized how to ski them, and after that I loved them. But the thing about the Recoils is they aren't like the Chronics that let you ski them however you want. If you're not aggressive enough, or try to do really big sweeping turns, you'll feel like you're working against the Recoils (whereas the Chronics will feel fine). If you're hard charging and making quick short radius turns, and like skiing that way, the Recoils will feel like they were built for you.

Over all I'd say take the Chronics over the Recoils. The Recoils are more of a niche ski in my opinion, the Chronics are more of a one-ski quiver.

I'll add that if I was going to get another pair of on-piste skis (anything, not just picking from the three you listed) it would be the Chronics. I love those skis.

I’ve been skiing the 2012 k2 recoils for two seasons. Was wondering how the filth R. felt compared to the recoils? I’m leaning more and more towards the filthy riches.

Thanks. I ride the 2012 recoils and love them. They are on the heavier side but other than that they are perfect. well they’re beat up now. I’m just a little doubtful on whether I should purchase the filthy riches if they ride completely different than the recoils.
