Im currently looking at the 181 Rossi Slat and the 186 Jeronimo, From what ive heard the slat is a little softer and more playful and the jeronimo will be more stable? Wondering which I should be leaning towards. 6 feet tall 180 pounds and prefer riding mostly jumps and doing floaty tricks and finding little trannies and stuff around the mountain
Price is useless without considering durability, much more probably plays into the decision, yeah? Bigger guys like the Jmo, little bit longer and a tad stiffer to support you when you want to rail. Have either of you demoed these skis?
I havent demoed either, i tried a pair of Alpha X I really liked how stable they were on takeoffs and landings but found they skied kindoff weird due to their shape and flex which i didnt like
I posted what's below in another thread the other day. Unfortunately the Slat is heavier than the Scimitars, which still confuses the shit out of me.
"I ride the 181 Slat currently and probably wouldn't get them again. I was hoping they were going to feel similar the Scimitars just with camber underfoot but they really don't. I wouldn't consider them to be soft and playful. My biggest issue with them is weight. They are heavy and slow to spin. If Rossignol made them lighter and a little more playful I would consider them again because I like the dimensions and turn radius. Otherwise I'm moving onto something else (pretty sure they aren't even making them next year anyway)."
