I've done it again, I broke my fucking collarbone!
Can't ski for a good couple of weeks! It snapped right of:(
Well Here's my question to you ns,
Is there anyone else out there who's healing right now? Stories behind the injury?
And the most important question at all....
What do you do to not go mad about impossibility to ski?

best way to not go mad at not being able to ski is to fap a lot. beat off all the time.

Two seasons ago I broke both of my collarbones and displaced my hip and tore my ACL. I was up and running in two days.

Find a new hobby, find something to get your mind off it. You will get through this and come to love skiing even more then you already did when you heal up.

I suggest some other physical activity, I don't know how much a broken collarbone would limit you, so I have no suggestions as to specifically what, but there are a trillion other things you can do. Hell, even use the extra time to build a ballin summer setup.

Watch some tv/netflix/etc but don't stick to it too much, its a bad habit to form and the mental stimulation you are getting from it isn't as valuable/ as real life stimulation you would get from talking to someone, doing an activity, etc.

It would be a great time to learn to film/shoot, you could even go head up to your resort and hike up/chair up if they let you and just figure out how to shoot well, and still hang with your crew there.

If there is physical therapy, do it well, and then some so you don't have to worry about the injury coming back to haunt you..

My story has a bit of a weird twist. I tore my acl back in January skiing pipe. Have been doing physio, went to a specialist, had a MRI done.

Now the Radiologist, someone who trains for years and specializes in MRI technology looked at the MRI scan done on my knee and said the ligament wasn't torn. Phewww! But fucking wait.

The orthopaedic surgeon who would be doing any consulting/surgery for me looked at the MRI and said it is torn.

Now I have to wait another two weeks to talk to the surgeon and see what the fucks up with my knee. Bottom line, if you can but choose not to; go to the gym, work your legs, get ripped legs, stomp big shit, don't tear acl's. It's worth it, because the hassle of a knee injury and it's effect on your skiing time is pretty incredible. Since the surgery is so invasive, if I choose to get it, I won't be able to ski until the very end of next season at the earliest.
