Atomic Boots?

Anyone have experience with Atomic's boot quiality? I'm looking into getting some new boots next year and the waymaker 110 has foot last dimensions that will actually fit me. I know I need to see a bootfitter, im just doing a little brand research beforehand.

i used atomic overload 100s all season. quality boots. a little wide for my foot but that doesn't make them bad. i would recommend them. very well built and comfortable

Very very solid boots. I had the overload 120 at the end of last season and I have been in the new waymaker 130 for a few weeks. Like any boot they need to fit but if they do fit your in luck. Atomic know how to make a cuff and because of that the boots are laterally very stiff. That means you can really drive the boots hard with out them flexing like a full tilt or an spk. The liners are great too, the ones I'm in now have some very nice insulation built in and I can honestly say I have never had such warm feet. The hike mode is great, I don't even need to pull my pant leg up, I can activate it while skiing which is awsome. Overall for sure get fitted but if an atomic works you will not be disappointed.

Nice boot, walk more isn't bad at all considering it's atomic's first stab at a touring boot. Just watch out for the flex, it feels a little softer than a 110, although maybe that's just me. Also the sole wears down in the stressed areas quicker than one might think.

The Waymaker Carbon 110 uses are our Carbon Spine technology from World Cup that allows for an insane amount of lateral and rear support which translates to a powerful and responsive boot. The main body of the shell and cuff use race-grade PU plastic for great snow feel and long term durability. The ski/walk mechanism utilizes a metal on metal connection between the cuff and shell (very durable) and offers 35° of cuff range of motion.

The boot comes standard with Alpine DIN grip pads but full rubber touring grip pads with tech inserts are available if want to go down the Dynafit-style binding road. The grip pads screw into replaceable metal inserts so you can swap them around as many times as you want to without risk of damaging the shell.

One of the smaller points, but worth noting is that the boot board is made from a special foam that is super light and also traps more air than a standard plastic or rubber boot board. This provides you with a lot of isolation from the cold shell should you be standing in snow all day.

The boot boards are one of the reasons I love atomic. I was taking the boots apart when I first got them and I remember thinking wow that is a light boot board. At the time I thought no more about it but after finding out not only is it light but it has a functional purpose of keeping the feet warm i think it's pretty awesome. For a brand to put in so much work even into such small details as the boot board is amazing. And having skied it, it works really well so customers will love it. So good on you atomic.
