Volkl Walls

I just ordered my pair yesterday, but they aren't a soft ski at all in fact they're extremely stiff, but they have a low swing weight and are really stable for landings.

1) Pretty stiff all around
2) Very, I have never heard one complaint about durability. Walls are made to last.
3) These would suck on a pow day, but that is not what they are meant for.

5) Carves better than your average park ski, but is still really not going to be great for all mtn due to it being fully symmetrical. Fairly hard charging.

i saw a video on youtube by the house i think it was that said theyre a directional twin, even though theyre symetrical, are they supposed to me center mounted?

and i'm gonna get them center mounted either way, i just ordered them yesterday

Also thinking of getting a pair... only question I have is if the price between the 2013s and 14s is worth the difference? Or even waiting for the 15s to come out? Any thoughts?

I bought the 13's, they're the exact same ski, plus they look cooler. on Evo they're only 325 in the outlet section and theyre 450 for this years, not worth 125 more

that's not a very good deal, i just bought my 2013's for 280 brand new from evo, wait untill theyre haveing a sale and get them then.

Flex pattern?
How durable are the edges and base?
They are full camber, and not exactly fat, so are they of any use on the occasional pow day?
I've seen a ton of pros using them, from the impression I've gotten they are kinda soft and jibby and playful in the tip and tail, and stiff and stable underfoot. What do you guys know?
Heavy and planky, or light and nimble?
What about carving ability, is it quick and nimble or hard charging large turns?


Thinking about getting them and a center mounted pair of like fks 14's or something similar.

I owned a pair of 2010 and 2013 volkl walls, with about 50 days on each pair. The flex is very stiff, by far the stiffest ski I've owned. The edge durability is ok, the edges aren't as thick as Armada t halls. I have a similar number of days of my t halls and they have much less edge cracks and the edges are in better shape.

They are 87 waist with full camber so I would highly recommend you don't take them into powder. I've used them only once in pow and never again. Soft and playful would be the opposite words I'd use to describe them. More like stiff, responsive, and stable. They are pretty light and have a good swing weight, sidewall durability is also very good. They carve well but that depends on the size. Center mount them for sure.

Overall I'd say they aren't the best skis for the money, there's much better park skis out there. I fell in love with my Armada t halls, much better ski in almost every aspect IMO

^^^^^do you think they'd be worth 280 shipped? because thats what i got mine for and are they actually a directional twin? i heard that somewhere and im not sure
