Been reading the threads on the scary/ghost stories and found it's an unreal way to kill some time (yeah I need a life, but it's too late to ski and I have 6 weeks off work). Figured it'd be worth while to start a thread about the best (or worst...) horror / thriller movies.
For me, I find horror movies that are actually realistic to be the scariest. For example, I thought The Strangers that came out a few years back was absolutely terrifying.
Movies like the exorcist or the conjuring don't really freak me out all that much for some reason... maybe it's just too easy to poke holes in the plot or something but meh not a huge fan of most of them.
So my top 5 horror movies would probably go like this...
1. The Strangers
2. The Amityville Horror (this one is just messed up, don't care how fake it is)
3. The Blair Witch Project
4. Saw (original / maybe 2 and 3, other ones kind of ruined it)
5. Exorcism of Emily Rose (also just creepy, even though it's one of those improbable)
Lets see everyone's list / thoughts on mine, or just rip the thread / me apart because that would be equally entertaining
