Dynastar Cham 127

I demod them today and they are GNAR KILLER. Two of the three rental shop guys I talked to said they haven't tried them because they're scared of them, and one of them said he was scared for me to try them. And all winter they only got demod by non-employees 4 times. I can tell why, they're huge and stiff and not a powder ski. Not sure there's any other non-powder skis that big. And they only begin to work at about 40mph. I'd love to try them in Alaska, they're amazing. I wanted the Atomic Automatic but now I think I want these instead.

thats probably the last ski 95 percent of ns is going to care about. i would like to take them for a ride though, i bet they fucking charge. id kinda like to get a more narrow one for crap conditions and steep couloirs with no snow in them. i bet they'd be fun for that alpinist shiiii.

lol the cham skis are weird, the super wide ones feel real hooky to me, so do the skinny ones i like the 107 but thats about it.
190cm cham 107 skis really good though.

btw, id still consider cham 127 a pow ski

I've actually seen quite a few of these over in France this season, they look like fun and if i got the chance to try them, i'd definitely take it.

They felt like that to me too at first, they'd sometimes do what they want, not what I want. But that was only at low speeds. Hit about 40 and they won't feel hooky anymore, they'll become very responsive and a great hard charger.

like i said i like the 107 in th 190, its just personal opinion though, ive skied enough skis to know i dont think the cham is all that special, rather have a spur than the 127

90% of ns wouldnt know what to do with a cham at all lol

If multiple ski shop employees told me they were scared to try a ski, I would never go back to that shop. What a bunch of gapers.

I found them to be pretty easy, and quick. I'd recommend them for people who like skiing tight trees, moguls, and double blue squares.

Dude, the spur is freaking stupid good! Mind lowing that it is 125 underfoot, cause it sure doesn't feel like it in nasty conditions.

why do you say not a powder ski? you mean not a soft playful pow ski right? rather, a pow charger?

Pretty much. When I think of powder skis, I think of something like the Spoon or Lab 001, or maybe the Bent Chetler. To me, the Cham 127 is a hard charger for some place like Alaska or Chamonix.

What I'm saying is that I rode them on a cat trip that included re frozen, pow and corn, and they were good everywhere. Skied like a wayyyyyy narrower ski, especially awesome in corn snow.
