Boot liners shifting in shell.

So I got some new boots the other day, and because they haven't packed out yet they're pretty tight at the mo. Despite this, I'm getting a little bit of heel lift, but not with my heel lifting off the sole of the liner, but the liner lifting in the shell. I'm pretty sure that as they pack out more and I can do the 45 degree clip tighter over my ankle without my foot going dead the problem will go away, but I was wondering if there was a way to stop it now, like putting some duct tape down the back of the shell so it's not just glossy plastic and has a bit more grip.

TL/DR: Getting heel lift with my liners sliding up in the shell. Wondering what I can do to stop it.

J bars, c pads or Achilles pads for your ankles....pad up the area and it should be more tight around the heel pocket. Dorsel pads could help bring your heel back more in the boot

Your boots do not fit. If you get heel lift in a new boot then the boot does not fit. I would guess there is too much volume over the instep. As the boots ages it will only get worse. My advice would be take them back to wear they were fitted and explain the situation and have maybe Simone more senior fit you this time.

I woul not bother adding foam and jbars ect. It's not a good way to fit and will only make the problems slightly better. Your better off getting a correct shell I the first place and then strech the shell if needed.

Put something in the boot to make it tighter, Tighten them more, or just get new boots

What boots do you have? If they are part of the FT Influence line, this problem may be related to their shell construction in general.
