Probably a repost but yolo. My dad just got an iMac desktop deal and it does't have a movie editor yet. So I need to know what are the best ones that are the easiest to use and are the cheapest.
It's 15 dollars and is your best bet without torrenting. If you torrent Premiere, you will get better software but depending on how you are using it, you might not need the additional features anyway.
If you want to get serious with editing and not just make quick edits for fun, I would go with premiere pro cs5 or later. if you just looking for an easy programs to cut your shots up premiere elements, imovie or final cut pro x will work, but they limit you more than premiere pro will.
It didn't already have iMovie. But I think for now I will just get iMovie since its the cheapest and I have experience with it. Then if I want a nicer editing program later on I can buy it. So I appreciate all the suggestions for somewhat professional video editing systems because buying one may be in my near future
i had been using fcp7 for a couple years and learned everything I know about editing on that (after learning basics on like imovie or something) but recently i started using premiere pro cs6 and it is so much better. workflow is essentially the same as fcp7 depending on your settings and color correcting is improved greatly as is the overall workflow, not to mention compatibility to after effects very easily which is a plus. I would recommend taking a look at that
final cut pro x is $300 and not worth it for the price. the older version final cut pro 7 was a couple grand when it was out, but its not for sale any longer since fcpx is out. youll have to torrent fcp7
Cracking adobe is 100 times easier IMO you download the trail, download the crack, drop the crack into the frameworks folder and you're done. No sketchy torrenting and pretty much a completely secure copy of any adobe program.
Adobe know you can do this and they do not block it and they could block it very easily. CS5/5.5 and older it was much harder to do it, you had to modify host files, etc and then with cs6 and newer, they changed the layout of the frameworks files making it much easier to crack.
They understand 90% of their customers are professionals and will pay for their software but the other minority is too poor to afford it. They allow the pirating of the software because a good chunk of those non professionals will one day become professional and will insist on using adobe products and their company will then pay for those products. Its a genius tactic by adobe and everyone wins.
