Xanadu/American Dream indoor skiing?

So I haven't heard much about this place lately. It is a gigantic mall in New Jersey that was supposedly going to have an indoor ski place. However, I haven't heard that much about it lately. Anyone know what's going on over there?

Isn't the building finished, but they don't have enough money to actually operate it?

Yes, and it looks like an absolutely enormous shipping container tipped on its side. The economical side of it is just not sustainable; the place is incredibly expensive, labor intensive, and would never have a large enough market/customer flow to balance out expenses and profits. Great idea for consumers, but every time someone invests in it another problem arises. It is basically an unsustainable, slipshod, and poor choice for anyone who get involved.

Tldr: endless money hole that will never work

the economic decline stopped the construction, and cabellas superstore with stocked fishing lake never opened underneath it.... dreams...

With its current paint job, it is also one of the ugliest new buildings I have ever seen. But yeah, you can see the building where the ski slope would be.
