Replying to The progression of free skiing since its inception

Japaneezy:
Sup NS-

As a high school senior, I got the fantastic opportunity to work on a term paper concerning the evolution of free skiing since its inception; It's going to be about eight pages long, and I was planning on starting with the Canadian Air Force, and Candide Thovex helping us out with progressing our sport to what it has become today. I also wanted to incorporate Wallisch and the rise of social media that allowed each of us to put out an edit and showcase it to the world, etc.
I'd appreciate it a lot if you guys could give me some input regarding this topic and some ideas for the chronological order, etc.

I could perhaps start off with something like this:
"In the 1990s freestyle skiers(mogul), discouraged by restrictive laws placed on the sport by FIS, began trying their tricks in what were at the time snowboard-only terrain parks. Early new school skiers were very aware of the developing style and attitude of snowboarding, and adapted these for their own sport".

Any ideas are welcome, thanks a lot NS! (And of course, +K to the ones who contribute)
