I need a ski!!!

What's up guys!

I'm 6'1" 170lbs and a good skier. I'm looking for a ski that will destroy anything I go through. After this recent east cost storm I'm thinking about picking up a stronger, stiffer ski. I'm currently on 179 k2 obsetheds and they are a ton of fun, but pretty soft which isn't to good when I'm carving down a steep trail with lots of bumps. Something that will plow right through the bumps without getting caught or flexed a ton. I want a stiff ski that is at least 110 underfoot and anywhere from 180 - 195. Any suggestions would be great! + k to suggestions too!

see your dilema is that you want to shred bumps but want a ski that is 110 underfoot... it will be fairly hard to shred bumps on a 110 ski, that being said both the nordica patron and 4frnt CRJ sound perfect for you

^^ I'm not really looking to ski bumps, rather bust through small piles of snow that build up later in the day or after a pow day. Something that is good for that and powder. + k to both of u too

Check out the Volkl Shiro and see what you think. Full rocker, 119 underfoot, comes in 183 and 193.

Have a look at the salomon q115 or qlab from next season. They would suit you well

yeah i though that originally I've heard there burly as hell but then released it was under 110 under foot. moment used to do the jaguar shark which was a wider version of the belafonte at 116 but they discontinued it to make way for the governor.

I ride 188 Moment PB&Js and they rip. Like a cross between the Belafonte and the Bibby: über stiff but with hefty rocker in the tip & tail. They are only 101 underfoot but I live in Montana and they are my daily weapon, would be a sick East Coast ski

you probably want something a bit shorter for east coast, 185+ would be shitty in tight trees and bumps

Armada TST 102 under foot

Comes in 174, 1183 & 192

Pretty much an all mountain destroyer. Fat enough for those pow days but still slim enough for the other days. Plus like all Armada's it's bullet proof.

Do you want something to replace your Obsethed or just to ski when the conditions suck? Do you care if it has tail rocker? Do you want a twin tip or directional ski?

From my experience (and what I've heard), Dynastar skis are amazing at charging through ice and bumps. Any icy bumpy groomer on Dynastars feels like a perfect soft groomer on other skis. That said, the only Dynastars I have skied are Cham 127s and Slicers. Slicers might be worth considering if you want something just for the groomers on bad snow days, they're nice skis, but narrower than you're asking for. But you can always take your Obsethed out when the snow is nice and you want something wider.

Then there's the directional big mountain skis like K2 Annex 118 and Atomic Automatic, but they're not twins and probably won't be as good on icy groomers as a Dynastar.
