Saga 3L vs 2L jackets

I was looking at saga jackets thinking that they were really cool and then I started looking more into depth at them and saw the different 3L and 2L at first I thought this was a longer length for the jacket and then later I thought that it might be the waterproofing level and then after that I over analyzed it and got confused. I am probably being dumb but what does the 3L and 2L mean? thanks K+ for help

Waterproofing level, Monarch is 3L or 20K so its super waterproof, Anomie and Fatigue are 2L or 15K and they're still really waterproof. Unless you're skiing some really wet/heavy snow conditions, a 15K will work perfectly fine.
