FULL TILT BOOT HELP.

FIRST OFF: I went to the boot fitter, the guy told me I should be in a 26.5 and they felt crammed as shit and uncomfortable. But the 27.5's are just a little too long. The width on the boot is absolutely heavenly which leaves me to my question;
How would they be if i bought the 27.5's and switched out the liners to 27 intuition liners and added a toe cap or foam of sort to fill the extra space?

Which shell did you try on? Was it something along the lines of a Hot Dogger-like or Booter-like shell?

The 27.0 liner won't make much of a difference once they pack out, because the shell is still the same length. Try to return the 27.5 and get the smaller ones and wear them around the house for a few hours and see how they feel.

I would def wear them around a little bit and try and get a feel. Boots always feel weird at first

It was the FTo Shell. The booter shell is a little too wide for my foot.

I walked around for a little over a half hour in the store. did that because i've been finding great deals here on NS. The 26.5 that i tried on was a demo boot that they rent out, so it was already slightly packed out. But the 27.5 is just a little bit too big. That's why i'm trying to figure out if i can just stuff the toe a little bit and make it work out.

My full tilts were tight as hell when i first got them but i wore them about the house for a week and they started to pack out. Skied them for about a year now and they are heaven on my feet. The liners pack out dude and they are comfy as hell after that short period of uncomfort

For five years ive been using two pairs of socks to fit into my boots. Sounds like you are being a little picky.

Remember that the 27.5 will pack out more so it will seem way to big. Listen to the boot fitter he is recomending what he believes is best.

sounds like you bought boots that didnt fit..

OP- just so you know the 27 and the 27.5 use the same shell (310 bsl), so you wont have to worry about extra space/rigging a toe cap if you decide to go with a size 27 as it fits that shell normally.

The only different between half sizes is the footbed, get some custom food beds and mold 26.5s and you'll be set.

try another boot... dalbellos perhaps? unless u wanna be cool, then get full tilts even if they dont fit

Thats exactly what happened but have I ever whined about my boots not fitting perfectly? no. Listen I get the difference between 26.5 and 27.5 but if you are nit picking over .5 get fucking real.

Its ok because i bought them online for $300 with 29 being the only size and they are still the best boots I have ever owned. So yeah I guess Im stuck but Im also happy with my choice.

I mean yes, I was dumb and really didn't know what I was doing. Listen, I posted like a douche, what I meant to say was if you mis-size your boots its not the end of the world and .5 really doesn't make any difference. I should have realized NS would get all butthurt over something like this...

Full Tilt boots are best for people with narrow feet. If you have wide feet go with something like Salomon. Then again your bootfitter should know this...

I mean for me that is so false. I have wide feet and have been using full tilts for 5 years without any issue...


That being said Dalbello also makes a boot pretty much identical to the new full tilt if you need variety.

agreed. Saying a half size shouldn't make a difference is incredibly stupid. In a boot fitting thread no less..

Still even with wide feet, there are good Full Tilt options. The hot doggers are a bit wider. I felt like I was swimming in them, classics were much better.

I would go with the fitters recommendation. They are going to pack out and fit better just after molding them.
