Making a vest out of an on deck jacket?

Would it be possible to cut the sleeves off of a saga on deck jacket to make a vest or would the insulation be an issue? Thanks and +k for good awnsers

as long as you stick up the insulation on the sleeves and get the correct point on where you're going to cut off the sleeves should be fine. Just make sure you stitch up where you cut with some form of similar material, maybe the fabric from the sleeves which you are going to just chuck out anyways should make for a simple and easy way to cover up the cutting marks.

Honestly just take it to a tailor and have them do it. It's not expensive and it's extremely high quality
