Skiing is progressing so rapidly right now. People are throwing triples like its nothing. Look at the Olympics; what else can our bodies physically handle? How big of jumps? How many flips? How can we continue a sport that is so insane now that there is no way to go bigger than we already are? People, in my opinion, don't respect rails like they should. That, I believe, is where the ski industry will have to go. How much risk can we put into throwing our bodies off giant mounds of snow, and spinning around like we're in a clothes dryer? Do you think that we have to change our style, tricks, and switch over to a more rail oriented sport, or will we just die out?
this topic was touched upon in 'the crash reel' its interesting.. we, as fans, indirectly are contributors to serious injuries these athletes sustain (ex. Sarah Burke) because we always want riders to go bigger and bigger and as athletes they naturally want to win so no matter how big something is built, they will try to conquer it but where should the line be drawn?
