Hiding a Trampoline from House Insurance

I recently purchased a pretty sweet trampoline. Then my house insurance like doubled and I was told to remove it. Any ideas on how to get around this insanity???

How did they find out you had a trampoline? When I was in HS I had my wake board on the trampoline with the towrope tied to a tree when the insurance lady came over. She was just like "Yeah I'm just going to pretend I didn't see that". Nothing ever came of it

A tree fell on my house after a gnarly storm and they had to do an appraisal. They check on it monthly, I'm on like a trampoline watch list.

dig a hole so its an in ground tramp and just cover it with a tarp or leaves or something when the insurance comes over.

Put it in the ground and build some sort of temporary patio set over it. Then when the inspector comes over invite them for coffee on your patio and bask in the glory of lying about your trampoline while sitting right above it.

They're analyzing it for his parents. They have to look for liabilities.

If one of OP's friends come over, tries to double, breaks their neck, and racks up hundreds of thousands of dollars in hospital bills, OP's parents' home insurance covers that.

The person evaluating has to determine how much money they need to be liable for. Having a trampoline is a red flag for potentially costing the insurance company a fuckton of money since there are close to 100k injuries resulting from tramps each year.

Oh, no man. The potential lawsuit is a completely different issue. hahaahah.

This is simply for medical reasons because homeowners insurance covers up to a certain amount for people injured on your property.

In my hypothetical situation, OP's parents would not only pay the increased premium because of all the medical bills their insurance paid for, but they would ALSO probably be sued by the friends' parents for another large sum of money. For what, you ask?

-You weren't supervising and inverted aerials aren't permitted - Negligence
-Your tramp has no pads around it and no netting - Improper safety precautions
-Your child was pressuring mine to do a trick they weren't comfortable with - bullying

The list continues.

Moral of the story? Kids, when your parents tell you they will NOT buy you a trampoline.....just say ok and be happy they still pay for your Saga.

Also, it sounds like this is actually OP's house. Not his parents'. All of the above comments still apply. The homeowner is the one who pays all the nonsense.

build some sort of other illegal structure in your yard, such as a nuclear missile launch tower. they'll be so distracted by that, they won't notice the trampoline

The problem isn't the trampolines or the mini ramps. The problem is these asshole judges who award these people money. I could probably to someones house, "falls" down the stairs and sue.

With such shitty judges in power these days it gives people even less faith in our judicial system than the tiny bit they even had.

I'm not even against suing somebody for negligence that hurt you but all these lazy motherfuckers looking for a handout can just get bent. Also at a certain point where the hell is the accountability? If somebody is jumping on a trampoline it's a pretty standard thing unless the trampoline breaks and kills them, or a tree falls on them etc. You you fall on the trampoline it's all on you.

Insurance tried to make my parents get ride of the trampolines I had and the mini ramp I had built in my driveway. My parents pretty much told them to get fucked. I spent around 400 for the one trampoline, and collected the other 2 for free or cheap. Spent over 1k on my mini ramp and a bunch of time to build it. I'm not really tight with my parents but that will always be a +1 in my book.

Hopefully you can get a plan going OP and save it.

Also I miss trampolining. I haven't set mine up in maybe 4 years now? maybe 5?

I bounced on one somewhere. My knees don't like it as much these days but was still pretty fun to float a couple flips.
