Video Cam question

i was wondering, when i am looking at my LCD screen on my camera is that the best quallity of video, and if a go out and but a firewire cord for my cam will it come in better quallity than the LCD?

ur camera should have the option to record your video in high, medium and low resolution

i think im not positive but this is what happens with the cameras i use at school that are practically brand new. when you transfer your film to the computer the quality is pretty much the exact same as on your screen on your cam.
