Boots for Someone w/Really High Arches

So my old Rossi Softs are finally gonna get retired after this season since the heel and toe are so worn out that they can no longer stand up without leaning against something. Im just starting to research and figure out what boots I want to get. Thing is I have really high arches and lots of boots/shoes dont agree with my feet. (From reviews Ive read it doesnt seem like full tilts would agree with my foot type for example.) Im aware that I have to actually try on the boots to really figure it out but since I wont be able to get to a ski shop for at least a few weeks Im just asking some general advice for brands/boots to look from NSers with high arches since I havent bought boots in like 7 years. Thanks

try getting footbeds for your arches

A good boot fitter can make a lot of boots fit any foot. Look in to custom foot beds and heat-molded liners as well.

as a general rule,(besides the always classic "go to a bootfitter") overlap boots will provide a better shape for high arches, while three-piece boots will be overall a better choice for more flat feet (like myself). I wouldn't recommend researching boots until you go to a bootfitter and he gives you some legitimate options. Once that happens, find reviews, ask NS which they like more (as long as both boots fit equally well), etc.

also, discuss this with your bootfitter. when trying on boots if something hurts over the top of your foot definitely feel free to let them know. if they try to bs you with "it will just pack out" go somewhere else if youre not just being a pussy.

instep pressure can be pretty hard to deal with since theres limited options, it can be done but its better to find a boot that doesnt have that issue.

Generally atomic tend to have a high instep, as do head and Lange and Rossi are quite high too. But as you may guess there is more then just instep hight. How wide is the forefoot? What about heel and calf? Take your self of to a good boot fitting shop and have the fitter recommend some suitable boots. Custom footbeds are needed by everyone but a high arch will really benefit so se if you can find a shop who produce soda custom footbeds. Let me know if you have any questions.

Generally good advice but just wanted to add for flatter feet an overlap would actually still be a better idea. A 3 piece can be hard to widen with the way the tounge works with the clog. With flat feet a 5th met expansion and possible inner navicular strech are common so an overlap may in fact be a better starting point.
