So I am moving from the east coast to the rockies for grad school next year and am going to pick up some new skis when they are cheaper later this spring/summer.
I am a solid all mountain skier who likes to ski fast and aggressive but enjoys a turny poppy, and fun ski rather than a point and shoot and hold on for your life ski. From having friends who are racers and friends who are park riders my technique and riding style is somewhere between the two. I like to hit the park every now and again and have the most fun finding natural trannys around the mountain and throwing 3s off whatever i can. I am also planning on getting the dukes or barons because I want to have the option to go touring, but will be skiing inbounds mostly. I am 6' 1" and weigh 185 lbs.
I have narrowed my decision down to the Line SFB 184s or the Icelantic nomad rkr and they both seem to fit the bill for what I am looking for. Anybody ridden either of these skis and can give me a good idea for how they perform in different conditions, speeds, terrain? Thanks a bunch
