So I want to make a double kink and a flat down for a summer setup that I'm planning on building. I want to get the rails done before the snow melts. What material do hills use for those Flat bars that usually are what you slide on for Flat Downs/ other kinks? I was also wondering where I can buy some that I can weld myself.

If you aren't looking for metal there's what i think is called polyestherne, it's a really hard plastic that slides very well. Google it, "snowboard rail material" or something

You usually have to go to your local steel supply. Which I'm sure there is one within an hour or two of you. But the standard flat bar rail that resorts use is a 6x2 rectangle tube at .120 wall.
