A way to see what members ski at certain resorts?

I was wondering if it was possible to see what members ski at what hills or resorts. Or even by town name.
I just think it would be pretty cool because it could even be more helpful than the rideshare forum or when paired they could be a lot more useful.

Cool idea. Click on the name of a mountain and show all the NSers who call it home.

Always an issue. But in this case I feel like it could be done though without too much trouble, we'd just need a way to get everyone to participate in listing their mountain(s)

Then have the list organized by member activity. Either most posts or most recent login date. Could also only display the most recent 100 users logged in or somethin

Also for new members it would be a requirement to put where you ski maybe? I guess it shouldn't be a requirement if someone doesn't want others to know where they live but i really don't think it would matter.

What about breaking regionals down further, or public invite cults for different ski areas? It would be cool if you could just go to a cult for a mountain and see "members online".

with like the drop down tab idea, wouldn't they have to get some sort of permission from the resort to use it? i feel like there are some small and petty legal issues that are involved, especially with the larger scale resorts like vail.

so much this. Shouldn't be too hard to implement, I mean they already have some info on where you are from, wouldn't be too difficult to enlarge this and make it more detailed. What I think should happen is on everyones profile it displays where you ski, and if you click on the name of the resort it takes you to a specific forum/cult or whatever that shows members online, people at the resort etc.

Problem is its plain text.

We've heavily talked about this as a really cool feature. The implementation isn't simple, but it would be so rad its crazy.

Stay tuned... this idea is most certainly not ignored.

Afterall... Newschoolers foundation was about meeting other people to ski with, and then jumping online the next week and talking about it/sharing media from it.

Don't get too excited though... this is currently on the list of 'stuff that will never happen'. There's a gazillion things we want to do, but we run out of dev resources/time to make them happen.

However, its closer to the list of 'stuff that is being built' than it was last year. Which isn't nothing... but its something. :)
