Time for new skis?

My recoils have served me well and are showing signs of wear and tear..Is it time for a new pair of skis??

The exposed core has me a bit worried because if it becomes waterlogged they could be ruined even for a backyard/urban ski...

Cover core exposed by top sheet chips with high grade sealant or flexible ski epoxy if you want to prolong its life. If the ski is still structurally sound, ski it till it breaks.

I'm just wondering if an exposed core is worth picking up a new pair of skis! Notice how the wood is showing..I won't be buying new skis til next year if at all!

its covered by fiberglass and resin still. mine look twice as bad on the top, the bases/edges are completely fucked (like the base is literally rounded underfoot from so many rails), and i just retired them after friday. and they are still rideable, i just wanted something new

my topsheets have been chipped like that for almost two years and nothing bad has happened

Okay thanks for the insight..I have been told my skis are fucked but I don't wanna buy new ones too expensive for me!!
