zzzskizzzI'll change the direction of this thread, can we talk about the amount of garbage in the ocean. Have any of you people realize the amount of masses of garbage seen that were mistaken for plane debris. If we keep polluting the ocean like this it could seriously wipe out all of us with on the next 50 years.

omnidataThat's actually the Citarum river which is the longest and largest river in West Java, Indonesia.
Not an ocean, we must stay 100% factual here.
Calb3rtyou should also know that the citarum river also flows directly into the java sea, and trash doesnt exactly go against the current.
omnidataUsing it as an example against plastics in the ocean is just bad. Even if it was meant as a contributing factor.
saskskierSo it looks like they might have found an actual piece of the plane. I guess they still need to check serial numbers with databases and stuff and it's only a tiny piece, but it's more that anything else that's been found over the past year and a half.
