Suggestions for my tattoo design

A friend of mine is considering getting a tattoo and asked me to design her a deer in this position in this style with the silhouettes of Mexico and Maine within it. This is what I've come up with so far and she really likes it but I still think it can be better and would love some critique.

i think its good for what you have to work with. mexico and maine such an odd combo, and in a deer. wut?

go find a talented tattoo artist and have them make an adaptation of this graphic, it is a good visualization, but in a few years I bet she'd want some style to her deer. Part of the fun of tattooing is bringing ideas to life that look stylistically good.. This is just a start, but if it were going on my body, I'd want some 3d perspective and shading on that deer

Have the artist design it. They will do a better job at it and tattoo artists like to tattoo their own designs, not one that someone else designed.
