Really, it depends on how many days you're looking to get in a season, and how good of an education you're looking to receive. If you're driven, you can make anywhere in CA work for you- for instance I averaged around a 60-75 day season at Mammoth through my time at UCSD. It was a LOT of fucking work, a lot of driving, but I had a great time doing it, and if I had to i would do it again in a heartbeat.
lets be serious though. Your college education is likely going to have a HUGE effect on your ability to continue skiing for the rest of your life. Pick the right school for you, even if it means getting in a few less days a year- in the long run, if you're successful and you enjoy it, it will be worth the sacrifice.
