Why are you trying to further split the forums??

I'm sorry to complain because I have tons of respect for you NS guys and you all do a wonderful job but:
what on earth is motivating this desire to split the forums up more and more?
it's bad enough when i have a thread moved to regionals and get MAYBE 1 answer, when we all know that thousands of people from each region never visit those forums. now i have a thread asking about a specific place moved to Ride Shares Etc or something, which doesnt even make sense for that thread's subject.
so it begs the question, what is thought to be gained from these splits? ride shares, regionals, theyre great ideas, but it's demonstrable that they will not work unless most people are checking them, and you know they arent!

Because it forces people to look in those forums. Then you get forums with more appropriate content. Eventually the forums will even out and become better used. The best way to deal with it is to go through each new forum each day and / or share on FB

well then the less used forums need to be more accessible. many people don't even know the ride sharing or job search forums exist. regionals should have a drop down menu of the regions as you mouse over it in the top bar. its all about accessibility.

yeah that's a great idea in theory IMO but the fact is waay fewer people go in those forums, like a tiny fraction of the normal traffic
like broto said theyre not popular/accessible/advertised enough, and realistically, who is going to check them that often?
i'd appreciate a response from mousseau and he's the one who has moved my threads the two times im thinking of

Forum updates are incoming.
Yes, it might be a pain that less people see it because it's not in Ski Gabber, but simply leaving everything in Ski Gabber (probably close to 20+ threads a day that I personally move, not including other mods), is not the solution.

interesting. word.
like i said, really sorry to complain because you guys do great work, it's just frustrating having a thread moved somewhere that won't get replies
