okay, so i have this possibly 10-12ft flat rail that is kinda rusty that im goiong to sand. i want to make supports for it using wood though cause i dont have anything to use for metal supports, and im not really planning on spending money buying any or planning on welding. if i was to use wood as the support frame, could i connect the rail onto like a 2 x 4 using caulking? i've used caulking to hold angle iron on wood for a box and it worked really well. but do u think this would work?
