2014 FIFA World Cup

We are 100 days out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

I'm pretty excited. Even though USA is in a group of death if we can make it out we have a good shot of going beyond the first round of elimination. We've got a strong team and a good chance of doing better than any other cup.

I thought when Chile got it back to 2-2 on the penalties they were going to go and win for sure.
Chile have been such a great team to watch, sad to see them go out.

What a game. Came down to the last shot. Holy shit me team moves through and like mentioned, odds are good against Uruguay or Columbia, especially with Suarez out.

First two guys also missed so it's not so bad to miss the last one. Had all four guys scored and then he missed the fifth it'd be a lot worse.

*SNO*Chile have been such a great team to watch, sad to see them go out.


Can't say I'm that sad. They're fun to watch, but the faking injuries to waste time is too much for me, hard to respect a team who does that as much as Chile has.

Granite_Stateodds are good against Uruguay or Columbia, especially with Suarez out.


Colombia have looked much better than Brazil so far, and Uruguay about equal. I would not be at all surprised if Colombia beats Brazil if they get past Uruguay.

They were fantastic, Mcmanaman is so hilariously blunt the whole game its awesome. Definitely my favorite pair of announcers.

With the way Colombia has been playing, they can easily get past Brazil. Colombia shouldn't have much of a problem today but I guess nothing is for certain in this world cup. I expect James Rodriguez to have another great game.

Colombia has looked much more impressive than uruguay and Brazil. If it ends up Colombia Brazil i'd say Colombia has the edge

This has been my favorite game to watch thus far in the tournament. On top of that was the best goal of the tournament.

I feel like I'm watching street ball with the way some of the Columbia players have been completely fucking with the Uruguay squad.

Second half will not disappoint.

I think Columbia can take Brasil. Brasil still look sloppy. I don't understand why they don't just drop Fred and have Neymar or Hulk or someone goo play striker/center forward. Personally I'd have brought Lucas and make Hulk play striker, but that's just me. Jo and Fred are big bodies with limited skill in a skill oriented team. I also like Columbia's attack against that attack obsessesed Brasil defense.

Is Brazil really a skill oriented team? None of their cm's are particularly skillful, nor are Fred or Jo as you mentioned. Hulk is somewhat, but no more than the majority of wingers in the tournament. Oscar and Neymar certainly are, but most of Brazil's more skillful midfielders (Hernanes, Willian, Bernard) start the game on the bench. Dani Alves, Marcelo, and David Luiz are skillful for defenders I suppose, but all in all I wouldn't say Brazil are an especially skillful team. Fact of the matter is that apart from Oscar and Neymar, Brazil don't have any players who can consistently chances in their starting line-up.

I don't see him progressing as far as Muller or Messi, and I would be shocked if Argentina did progress without a Messi goal.

He has more assists than Messi, Mueller and Neymar if it came to that. Colombia might suprise a few...don't be so certain. All it takes is one bad game by Neymar or Messi and they are out.

I THINK there is potential for him to feast on the Brazilian defense if they look as porous as today, but I think Muller and Messi have potential to exploit the defenses they will be playing soon.

it's going to be close and iv just liked this kid for a while and he is finally getting world recognition. i know he is a monaco star for now, wenger was at the game so i can hope;)

i agree that messi is pretty much his teams only option so for them to go far he is going to get goals. muller not so much although he always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

i personally want klose to get 16 next game, i never really like ronaldo and would love to see klose pass him.

I had never heard of the kid till recently but he has amazed me. I imagine if he is to leave Monaco, it will cost a lot of cash, especially after this WC performance. I could see him land with Wenger though because he would be a star there.

I would love to see Klose take the record as well, he just knows how to score.

I doubt Monaco would sell. They're pushing for the Ligue 1 title and are also in CL this year. It would be cool if here were to come to the BPL but I think it's just wishful thinking. Still curious as to where the rest of the Columbians go though. Will Cuardado actually go to Barca? Jackson Martinez leaving Porto finally? Someone try to bring Teo to Europe?

Martinez has been linked with arsenal as well but I doubt he comes in.

Ya Messi is there only option..... Lavezzi. Higuain. Aguero. Di maria. Without Messi they still have the best options in the worldcup

Why would you leave them out of it? They've been one of the better teams in the tournament so far, and, despite crushing Spain, the Dutch have shown that they're definitely beatable.
