We are 100 days out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
I'm pretty excited. Even though USA is in a group of death if we can make it out we have a good shot of going beyond the first round of elimination. We've got a strong team and a good chance of doing better than any other cup.
Also, who was the one who said after Pepe got carded that it will be a big deal if Portugal doesn't get through on goal differential... That guy, a wizard.

but if you actually did, good for you. I will be the first to admit they shocked me by beating Ghana, surprised me by almost beating Portugal, and then did exactly what I expected against Germany.
I did. Ghana is beatable for the u.s. if they play well, which they didn't, but still pulled it off, and Portugal hasn't looked very strong in a while. Germany almost screwed everything up by not beating Ghana though.

i liked that germany didnt pull any punches today and we still held our own. good looks for the US making it thru this group stage against tough odds
I mean they looked good with the ball, but they hardly ever threw their full weight into the US defense. You had a few players (Ozil, Gotze, Klose, Mueller) who wanted to score, but after that goal they did not seem to look as dangerous in the final 3rd as they are capable of, and it was not due to US pressure.
Anyways, congrats USA, congrats Germany. THANK YOU RONALDO

Well he's gotten it right so far. But with Jozy being hurt and Bradley playing in Clint's normal spot there's a lot of talk of Bradley's below average performances being due in part to being in a more attacking position than he is used to, and you have to think that Landon is one of the few guys who could play in that position right behind the striker and really contribute with his vision and passing ability. I guess it's a question of whether a Jones-Bradley-Donovan triangle is stronger than a Jones-Beckerman-Bradley triangle.

yedlin is doing well for such a young guy. i grew up playing against him and watching him in academy. great guy and an awesome story. he spent many a night on my buddies couch growing up.

Fun_dipLet's be realistic here. They're not going to get enough points unless they get a lucky call or fluke goal. Sure it is entirely possible for them to win fairly, but the chances that happens are slim. USMNT is not a high level team. They need to start developing talent and not athletes.
