We are 100 days out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
I'm pretty excited. Even though USA is in a group of death if we can make it out we have a good shot of going beyond the first round of elimination. We've got a strong team and a good chance of doing better than any other cup.
.MASSHOLE.German wingbacks looked horrible. Move Lahm back there, start Khedira and Schweinsteiger, and that should help a lot.
Khedira was awful, I dunno what Boateng did so wrong to be substituted either. Ozil started strong but definitely faded towards the end of the game. I wanna see him do well but it just doesn't look like that is gonna happen.

Great game, yes, but I do not think we have a "great" chance tomorrow. I think the US should actually be worried. The Portuguese can still qualify if they take 2/2 games, and that will give them hope. Therefore, they should worry. This game is WIDE open.

I think Portugal missing both Pepe and Coentrao for tomorrows game gives the US a chance perhaps not great but a very good chance, theres probably not going to be a better time to play them.
Theres the other side to Portugal being able to still qualify if they win both that Portugal needs to win this game which could put pressure on them, similar to England on Thursday. Either way i'm excited to see how the game plays out, hopefully similar to the game we've just seen.

So far I wouldn't call this World Cup 'amazing' either.
The fact that it is in Brazil has only really caused problems.
The Germany Ghana result is nice since it shows the difficulty of the group. As for US vs Portugal, and all the other games to come, if this World Cup has taught us anything it is that any team is capable of really challenging, and potentially beating, any other team.

What makes this amazing? And why was South Africa horrible?
Went to South Africa and it was great. Locals aren't quite as into it as the Brazilians(duh) but they were quite into it and yes there are numerous Brazilian locals who don't give a shit. Also incredible amounts of businesses that only exist because of the WC just like South Africa.
DERS.Romero played a hell of a game in goal. Argentina played like shit no doubt, but iran was playing with 10 defenders and a goalie for most of the game.. still should not have been that close.. aguero looked off, di maria had some good strikes but couldnt close, messi was shit till that beautiful left footer. argentina needs to play a lot better as a team if they want to go all the way
Yeah, it's always tough to beat a team who consistently put all ten men behind the ball on defense. Argentina definitely don't look as sharp as they should, but it honestly almost feels like they just aren't trying that hard yet. Messi, Aguero, and Higuain aren't normally guys who slack off much on defense, but almost every time Argentine have lost the ball the last two games they literally just stop moving. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Sabella has told them to take it easy because they have such a simple group to get through. But I guess we'll find out once the knockout rounds start.

Think of how boring the World Cup crowds would be if it was held in the US. There's not a chance people would be allowed to bring in half of the stuff they bring into stadiums in other countries.

In the meantime, the stadium in Manaus is collapsing, it's the one where USA v Portugal was supposed to happen.
American fans arrived earlier and took their seats. Stadium can't hold all the weight.

Sadly Belgium have been awful so far, they look like they've never met before let alone played together as a team. 11 individuals on a pitch.
not gonna deny this but so far we're still leader in our pool and we haven't really shown our best side yet
lets hope we win or tie with south korea and we're first of our pool and get paired up against ghana instead of germany
cause face it the match ghana against germany was exciting and both teams were very balanced but that was because ghana played one of their best matches and germany one of their worst :/

Yeah. Have to try and score early in the second half though because a team as full of cowards as Portugal's will play with 9 behind the ball at all times the longer the game goes on and just kick it to Ronaldo, as well as fake injuries to waste time. And playing in a place like Manaus obviously doesn't help.
