We are 100 days out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
I'm pretty excited. Even though USA is in a group of death if we can make it out we have a good shot of going beyond the first round of elimination. We've got a strong team and a good chance of doing better than any other cup.

I'm all in favor of getting this diving and expected foul bullshit out of this otherwise awesome game. Really though, how much effort would it really take to implement this?
2nd half should be intense. We'll see how bad Italy really wants this.
WattsWouldn't be that hard at all. Again, they do literally the same thing with cards where they look at incidents after a game and make decisions.
It was more of a rhetorical question, but I totally get it.
I am just frustrated that it has not yet been implemented into this game. The ref's are obviously sick of the constant delays in play, it's surprising nothing has been done yet.

Damn, Costa Rica looked good today.
Not really, 80% of their play was hoofing the ball forward, defensibly they did well to block off Italy but apart from that one moment they never really got close to goal.
That said, that ref and his Assistants were atrocious.
The heat probably hurts Italy worse than most teams in the tournament. They aren't the youngest or quickest team to begin with, and the heat certainly only makes it worse, they were just out hustled by Costa Rica the entire game. But they certainly look good defensively, and know when to get forward.
So far Costa Rica and Mexico seem to be the two surprise teams of the tournament, and CONCACAF the surprise qualifying region.
Holy collapse Batman! This is the World Cup, you can't be fucking up on back passes like that. Frances 3rd goal was a thing of beauty tho...too bad they're still huge, gaping vaginas.

Since the ref is Dutch we got a several repeats of that moment, he checked his watch when the ball was in the middle of the pitch and but his whistle to the mouth when Random French dude passed to the other random French dude who was strolling, then he blew his whistle and other random French dude suddenly made that great pass to Benzema. At the moment he put the whistle to his moment there's no scoring chance, besides time=time and there's no rule dictating that you should wait till a team finishes an attack, the game was already won with large margin.
As far as refs go this WC he is doing a swell job, fair and confident.

Gotta love the English media ripping into the national team despite the fact that this is the best one they've had a major tournament since who knows when. Compare what they did against Italy at the 2012 Euro and what they did against Italy in Brazil, and it's clear the team is worlds better. Classic case of England, despite loving soccer so much, knowing absolutely nothing about it.
absolutely not. South Africa 2010 was a terrible world cup, and proof that the world cup should never be used to "expand" football. Give the finals to countries that live by the sport.

Your kidding right? that subsittution was only to annoy iran, they wasted half the game with fake injurys and subs gk's etccc. You will never see di maria walk off the field that slow, he was taunting iran for being complete pussy's the whole game.

im not denying they flopped all game, but they also did create quite a few good scoring chances in the second half as well, the amount of dead time killed there just annoyed me (and not the first time) as it was a cheap way of denying a chance at a decent push. and it's not like the argentines have never flopped, heck they did their fair share today as well.

Romero played a hell of a game in goal. Argentina played like shit no doubt, but iran was playing with 10 defenders and a goalie for most of the game.. still should not have been that close.. aguero looked off, di maria had some good strikes but couldnt close, messi was shit till that beautiful left footer. argentina needs to play a lot better as a team if they want to go all the way
