Could 80mm brake fit on 88mm waist ski?

I have a pair of fks with a 80mm brake, and a pair of skis with an 88 waist. Would these work?

heat up the metal of the brake arm and bend it outward. then bend the end in some. easy.. ive got some old pivot 10s on my Dead Moneys and they were meant for a 72mm ski from 2002..
