Mass Delete of old Sell/Trade threads

Why not do a mass delete of the old sell trade threads (2 or 3+ year old stale threads)? Just saw a 6 year old thread get bumped. I understand the other forums may be useful to keep old info around, but the sell/trade would only benefit from it.

Could be easy, could be super annoying.

Basically people shouldn't bump a sale thread older than 2 years. If they can't handle that pm a mod and we'll take care of it.

I would see doing it to help searchbar results. I get so many old threads that it's impossible to find gear sometimes.

Yeah and this is likely why a lot of people bump old threads. They search for something obscure or an older ski and they see the top result and think it's recent when it's not and they just don't look.

It's really not a big deal to have them, but it could make the sell/trade forum a little cleaner and less than 3k+ pages.

I would say stale threads 2-3 years old. Keeping a few year old threads may be useful to some for price comparissons possibly.

The only reason I see that the red names wouldn't want to do this is maybe they want to keep them around for google searches to get site hits for advertising purposes. Idk how that all works though.

Anything in b/s/t over 2 years old should go, even that is pretty generous imo

I do use some of the old threads though. If I'm looking for a specific item that isn't for sale at that time I'll look it up on google or google images and find old sale threads where people were selling it. It turns out a lot of them never sold so I pm them and get the item. Other than that I have no use for them so is be find with deleting the really old ones, but maybe not 2008-
