.Bobo.Is ACL surgery really that common in freestyle skiing? Damn, feels like it's only a matter of time with the amount I crash.

Download-My-AppsIt is the most common major injury, accounts for about 30% of competitive freestyle injuries.
Its mostly cause through an inability for the knee to withstand external forces. Be that through landing back seats, under or over rotating or knuckling.
Strengthen those hamstrings :)
NegromancerBest way to avoid knee injuries is to strengthen the muscles surrounding the knee and use suitable bindings i.e. don't use cheap crappy bindings and don't set your DIN's to 18 when you're only like 50kg.
RailersailerAsk your doc,
but I say 3/4 months after surgery
cbradyI'm 14 weeks out from my acl surgery (hamstring graft). I kept up with PT and the knee felt great, could run on it at about 10 weeks. Hit the gym as much as possible, swimming, etc. I went to the EC for a vacation (5 days) came back and jumped back into the gym and running. Know I have a sharp pain on the inside of my knee. Have you guys felt that when trying to run? Any thoughts, maybe scar tissue?
