Rails because there's a lot more creativity that can go into a rail feature than a jump feature.
Also because I'm from the east coast so taking off and landing on ice is a lot easier to deal with on rails than on jumps
I think jumps have more creativity options. More airtime=more trick options. Transfers, butters, handdrags, knuckle tricks, and the infinite amount of trick options going straight off the jump
I have a greater respect for rail skiers now that i've tried to actually do spins (switch-up and front 2) on a rail. Even basic spins on rails are incredibly difficult for me in comparison to spins on jumps.
rails. Way more variety and creativity and the rails in the east are much better than the jumps. Id like to be good at rails and have a few good jump tricks.
Agreed here. Even though i prefer jumps and can do more on jumps the mad things that people are doing on urban rails and such these days makes me want to shoot myself in the face.
Sorry but your VERY wrong. You can do literally all of the things you mentioned transfers, butters, handdrags, etccc on rails. The creativity aspect is no competition RAILS. Not to mention someone with gymnast skills can learn air tricks, nothing prepares you for learning rails other than doing them...
Think of the amount of combos you could do on a flat bar alone, now take those combos and apply them to the infinite amount of possible jib features you can have.
If only parks could understand that rails can be so much more than a 20ft steep down bar or a flat bar, all the tricks have been done on those. The variety and creativity of rail features is pretty much endless.
