Ski Mounting

How much does it usually cost to get skis mounted?

Also just bought some skis. Want center mounted but they're a inches back. They might actually be center mounted in the front or close and just aren't for me because I had to move the back binding piece to get my big ass feet into them.

How many times can you mount a pair of skis? How much does it cost. Is it a hassle to the point I should just leave em where they are?

1. Depends on where you are. Mounting can cost anywhere from 20-120$. Most of the time you will be looking at 35-45$ for a mount, just look on your ski shop's website or go in and ask them.

2. I would try them where they are right now, if you hate it then you can go in later and get them remounted.

3. A rule of thumb is to mount no more then 3 times per ski. As for it being a hassle, that depends on how often you use the skis and how much you want to spend, like I said you are probably looking at around 40$ to get them remounted and depending on the shop a few days with them at the ski shop.

Word, I was guestimating 30-40 so that's not too bad. These have probably been mounted that many times or more. They're 7 year old skis. Only paid $31 for em so might just leave em.

Probably going to go skiing a few days a week but might just wait and if I get new skis down the line get those mounted how I want them.

When you got these skis did you have someone who knows what they are doing adjust your bindings and check the dins?

Nah the dins are cranked up though. We adjusted the bindings back with a screwdriver to pry the one part and beating them into submission with force.

I did 4 runs in the park and 2 or 3 on the mountain and they didn't come off so I think the dins are up fairly high.

Dont be an idiot. Go get the bindings checked. At the very least get the forward pressure adjusted. There is no point injuring yourself just because you did not get the bindings set.

I don't even have boots that fit me yet. They aren't falling off but they're not jammed to the point where I can't get them off.
