My friend Matt suffered a terrible hit to the head today skiing after already having a mild concussion. It was absolutely terrifying seeing him go from completely normal to knocked out to going into a painful panic. He is currently at the hospital for the night and has been waking up everyonce a while but has no recall of anything even driving to the resort. I haven't seen anything close to this scary in person if u could send your prays it would be appreciated.

Just a update he is now awake but he won't be able to ski this year or next year. He is spending another night in the hospital just to be safe. And his previous concussion was mild and he was going to get cleared this weekend. But regard less this is his sixth concussion so he is going to focus on filming.

Hope buddy is doing alright and that he recovers fully!

Something similar happened to me a couple of years back after a straight to head crash in a downhill mountain biking jam, cant remember anything for a couple of hours but they had me at the hospital for a couple of days and all is well with me.

It really depends on what you consider a concussion. There really isn't a cold hard cut on what is a concussion or not.

"A concussion is a traumatic brain injury that alters the way your brain functions." first line of the mayo clinics definition of concussion.

If you go by the number of times i've seen stars from a blow to the head, which is an alteration, I've had well over 10+ concussions. If you take the times it's left me woozy and out of it for a day or such, i'd be like 2 or 3.
