A buddy and myself are planning a road trip. We're going big and hitting a bunch of spots in southern Utah, then spending some time at the Grand Canyon. We'll hopefully be departing from Flagstaff AZ with a day or two to spare on the road from there to Boulder. Rather than backtrack through Utah, we'd like to venture through the rest of Arizona and then New Mexico before heading North through Colorado Springs.
Are there any monuments or landmarks, state or national parks we should add to our list of sights to see that are relatively on the way through Albuquerque and Santa Fe? Any brown, point of interest interstate signs worth following? This is basically our dope road trip of our college years, and we don't want to waste the long hours we'll be spending driving back. Rather than try to look up a bunch of tourist sites online, I figured I'd post here and see if newschoolers had any kick-ass personal testimonies. Thanks a ton!
