Dub Cork 7 Confusion

Ever since I saw the first dub cork 7 by Frej a couple of years back I have been mystified but I began to become very confused as more and more people began to land it. Here is my issue, cork 3's are a trick that you actually set forward, If you don't understand what I am saying watch this:
But alas, a lot of this dub cork 7's that I am seeing are not actually two cork 3's like the ones seen in the video. The cork 3's that make up most dub cork 7's are set back and look more like flatspins that anything. This can represented by ABM's dub cork which is set backwards at 1:49


Most dub 7's I see now adays look like ABM's and the triple 10 thrown by Luca was definitely set back, at least on the first one that was practically a flat.I do not wan't to come off as hating on ABM, he's sick, and the trick he is throwing is sick. But we do have to come together as a community and define the trick known as "The Dub Cork 7" because ABM's and Frej's are by no means the same trick.

You don't set a cork 3 forward dude... what marg was saying about jumping forward has nothing do with how he sets the trick he is obviously setting his cork 3 "back" just like everyone else does? You're trying too hard

ABM is the shit but Frej dub cork 7 and 9 in that video are way better looking

The main difference between flat 3 and cork 3 is that at 180 in the cork your belly button is facing the ground or even down the hill i fyou get really corked. At 180 in the flat three your back is facing the ground.
It looks a little different when Frej does it but his belly is still facing down, He carves his around super hard and never really comes out of the first cork, pretty much spinning a 720 while looking down at the gap. ABM goes cork 3 and then comes uncorked before cork number 2 which imo is the more legit way to double cork, but I digress since I cannot do a double cork 7.

Cork 3's are set backwards homie, Margetts was just saying like pop forward off the lip to stay balanced and strong on take off. If it was set forward, it would be a bio 3.

The biggest difference I find between flat 3's and cork 3's is with flats you look over your shoulder are are blind for a second while you set the trick. But with cork 3's you can see forward the whole trick.

Frej's trick was obviously insane and I'm not trying to undermine it, however I have to agree. It can be argued that it wasn't really 2 corks.

Why? since when do we have to "come together as a community" and collectively decide on trick names? not everyone will agree and it doesn't matter, they're cool tricks

I'd say both these all qualify as dub cork 7s, but I can see how the argument that Frej is doing flat 3 to cork 3 can be made. ABM definitely did cork 3 to cork 3 though.

I've been saying this forever. Cork 3s are on a different axis than other corks, and rodeos are the same axis as corks. The dub 7 is set on the "other cork" axis.

yes they are, when you did a rodeo, you did an underflip which is a more flippy cork. therefore rodeos are on the exact same axis as corks. I think that is what miomo is trying to say.

you pop forward but set back thats why it is such a hard trick.
