Critique on this new edit?(K+ for the serious ones)
Wow. Loved it. Ok my only advice would be to maybe tone down the super saturated feel judt a bit. I liked the idea of it with this edit but it was a bit overdone imo. Also at 49 when you had a closeup on his foot then panned into snow, that was the perfect opportunity to cut to a shot that starts as all snow then goes to the skier cuz then its a seemless transition. But beautiful edit
Loved this, it seemed super well thought out. Also really was digging how clean and isolated the audio from the skier was, love hearing those stomps and rails grinding
I thoroughly enjoyed that! other than what has been said above I think that the audio was awesome. It seemed like you payed a lot of attention to the details. That being said i think that you could have spent a bit more time tuning in the flow. For example at :57 when it cuts to black the audio cuts out to and i think that it would have been much less abrupt and it wouldn't have taken me out of the moment if you had let the audio play through the cut to black and blended it with the next clip. I dug it though for sure.
I definitely agree with whats been said already. I also really liked the music. It was kind of ambient which made the skiing stand out. It's something that I really like to see in edits but people rarely do. Definitely something I want to try in the future.
i wasn't really feeling the mellow flow, but the skiing more than made up for it, but cut out the cliche ski shots, putting balaclava on, clicking into skis and hitting snow off your skis, they're just all ski shots which have been used to much, but other than that skiing was great, maybe abit to many safety grabs and a couple of times in the edit you could of shortened the run up to the jump, but a pretty sick edit all round
