New skis and waxing

New skis come factory waxed right? Is this any good? Got a new pair of sratch FS's and I'm debating on whether I should have them waxed. Thanks

Forgot to mention that i did read the waxing thread below, so i don't want you all to think i'm an idiot. But I did notice that some people said they sraped the factory wax off. I just wanted some opinions of what i should do.

At the factory, the skis are sent through a waxing machine assembly line style. It's not absorbed as well as an ironed in hot wax done by hand. It's also plain all purpose/temperature wax.

If that's acceptable to you, just ski them. If not, then wax'em.

factory wax blows. after 4 runs you wont slide anymore so you might as well just get a real wax

All new skis should be waxed when you get them. If you cant do it your self just pony up the 8 or so bucks to have it done, it will protect your investment and make you alot faster.
