I work at a small ski resort in Ohio, the one where Big Air Dave is from, anyways, I am on the park crew there and was raking a feature when I see a Dad and his son skiing down the hill. I didn't pay much attention to them until I noticed the 5 or 6 year old son wipe out maybe 10-15 feet in front of the rail yet not in obstruction to the feature. While the Dad was helping his son up, another skiier rode by slowed down and yelled "This is why you shouldn't be here, get the hell out" and continued skiing. The father quickly picked up his son looked at me in an embarrassed and sad way and continued down the hill. I was too stunned to even say anything to the man and I was pissed about it the rest of the night. I never saw the man again, and was never able to catch up to the skiier, but I just thought that was such a dick move. Isn't skiing all about having fun? I get the frustration of little kids and parents being in the parks and cutting you off and what not, but when there not even in your way why be a jerk? I mean we all had to get our start somewhere and I just felt so bad for that man and his son.
Sorry about the long story, I just wanted to share this and hear what people think along with their own experiences, I was just really bummed out by this.
