true. but they are still in the comp scene, give them a few more years and chances in the backcountry and then we'll see. Tanner is definitely a great skier and has moved away from the comp scene because his views have changed. It's a shame he takes it out on a small part of our skiing community. I find myself doing less and less park and find more interest in the woods and bumps and steeper terrain but I still appreciate what these kids are doing in the olympics.

tanner, just go out and ski.. let the young kids have their moment without you Kanye'n it.

really though , it's kind of funny that she said he was burnt out even though when she will be in her prime, she still won't be any where near where tanner will be AT THE SAME TIME...

then she goes off on Tom for bashin women skiing , and then she goes on to prove how right he was haha


but the funniest thing to me is that tanner would throw a better run than she did witout even trying.

We need a mixed discipline comp with just Tudor, Carlson, Thovex, Hall, both Pettits, Abma, Sage and Hoji being invited. Maybe Schiller too.

I just met him in Revy the other day, and jesus christ that man charges that mountain, I'm telling you. A guy his age in such good shape? I wanna see Devin aka Jabba the Hutt in 15 years doing the stuff Tanner does.

And the funny thing is, when you talk to him when he's not skiing, he's such a calm guy and seemingly stoked on kids that show some love for some good pow.

No-one is calling out Tanner's skiing ability.

No-one is calling out Tanner's contribution to the sport of competitive comp skiing.

The documentary was about competitive comp skiing. It was never meant to be a "history of freeskiing".

Not gonna lie, I totally agreed with what Devin said in the documentary. Tanner would have jumped all over the opportunity to ski in the Olympics if it was around in his prime. And the fact that he not only hates on the Olympics, but hates on the skiers for riding in it is childish. Tanner had his shot and had the spotlight, but its time to pass the torch and let all the younger skiers have there time and do what they want with the sport.

Despite the fact that I don't often like anything tanner does, I understand his perspective. I would be livid if any video negatively portrayed me or the effort I put into anything I care about. Let alone something he has admittedly devoted much of his life to.
Also important for Tanner to realize though, is that Vice is more of a host site for Epicly Later'd. Its not as if Vice is solely responsible for Epicly Later'd. Vice does a ton of dumb shit too, exemplified by the freeski video, which is too jockish for sure.

Reading the comments on youtube of this video, and some are hilarious

the dude responds by saying "Do you or you're "16 year old brother" have any videos or are you competing for an Olympic medal in any way, shape or form? Otherwise you are just talking out of your ass, and have no way of proving that you are any better than even the female skiers... Who ARE in the Olympics and CAN prove that they are better than you or your "brother..."

I'm clearly in the minority here but I thought Devin Logan's interview was one of the more entertaining part.
Sure it was a little harsh and i dont think she necessarily needed to call him a "burnout" or whatever, but honestly if my dream was to go to the Olympics and someone like Tanner (who clearly has a lot of controversial ideas) was talking down upon it, I'd probably be a little pissed to.

I appreciate everything Tanner has done for the sport. He is a legend and one of the best ever.

That being said, he makes himself look like a moron. We get it dude, you like to smoke weed. He might get a little more respect from people outside the sport if he could form a coherent sentence or thought. I cringe at the thought of him doing interviews and representing our sport. I am just tired of his whole act.

Agreed. And I understand how kids like to hang on his coat tails no matter what since he is such a legend, but people need to start realizing that he's starting to get a bit ridiculous in his antics and should just bow out peacefully without fucking up his legacy too much.

Really agree with tanner here its bowl shit how they followed like 3 kids who haven't been around nearly as long as tanner and how they where just park skiers and when Logan talked shit on tanner such shit he built this shit he was the reason kids even looked at the pipe in the first place and he's better then all of them at SKIING not just pipe slope or any of that he slays the backcountry he kills it in all aspects and its fucked at how he made the sport then gets shit for it hoping vice would have brought in guys like J.P. Candide and some of the 4bi9 boys to show all aspects of skiing not just a bunch of kids who are just in it for the comps man maybe the olympics did fuck it up

Ok I get that Devin Logan made some stupid comments... and they were really fucking stupid but some of you guys in here are trashing her wayyyyy too hard. Just lighten up on this subject, there have been some really awful comments made to her. All the hate seems to have just exploded over the last couple weeks.
