I have the 2012 Recoils and absolutely love them. They are not buttery by any means, but they absolutely shred anywhere on the mountain. I ski 70% park, 30% trees/all mountain and love the performance. Park-wise I do mainly rails, but they are incredibly solid on jumps. Compared to the Domain, it is much better all mountain and on jumps. The
only area in which I would give the Domain the edge is in softness. It is fairly difficult to butter on the recoils, but you can definitely do it and, IMO, it is better than the Domains in every other respect.
And no, the last 3 or 4 years of Recoils have been the same.
